Edgy Prediction: Tarasenko Hat trick capped off by a deflection off a carolina player in the last 5 minutes of the third.

Projected lines:

Alexander Steen - David Backes - T.J. Oshie

Jaden Schwartz - Joakim Lindstrom - Vladimir Tarasenko

Ty Rattie - Paul Stastny - Dmitrij Jaskin

Steve Ott - Marcel Goc - Ryan Reaves
Oh....i actually like that lineup. Schwartz and Tarasenko will make any semi ambulatory warm body look good

I was hoping for something like this, with Lindström or Jaškin centring Schwartz and Tarasenko. I don't see the point of calling up Rattie if you aren't going to put him in a position to succeed, which is unlikely with Lindström, Goc or Ott as his centre.

Would rather see Schwartz - Stas - Frank

At least you would have 2 great lines

Haha I'm getting weird looks in my office laughing about this GDT. Stastny will move up to replace lindstrom if the game is close late

instead of lindstrom centering schartzenko, maybe we could insert a tire with fans to steer it, that way our wingers could pass the puck to themselves and the play wouldn't die on someone's blade

You're wasting Ott's scoring streak. I'd put him on the STL line for tonight.

(Now, if Lehtera's injury looks like something more long-term, Hitchcock should look for a combination that is more realistic for more than just tonight.)

This game scares the hell out of me. Carolina always gives us fits and with us being two centers down I am just nervous about this one. We need this one to keep up with Nashville and start building ground on Chicago. I could see Backes / Stastny double shifting by the end of the game if it is close. I have no faith in Lindstrom

Just Imagine being 2 centers down last year. This is how we ended up with games where Sobotka played 25 minutes

Let's be honest here, it ain't the GDT illustrations which make your coworkers look at you with due suspicion.
