Chris Pronger was slow?
He may have LOOKED slow because he's a big body but he got where he needed to be due to his long stride
yeah not the best example. he was definitely mobile enough.

The Sharks win when they move the puck quicker than the opposition can handle, not by outskating them.Jumbo Joe is not only slow himself, he somehow slows down his team along with the other team and still manages to be a really effective player. Kopitar, Getlzaf, and Tavares aren't necessarily "slow" but are all forced to be very efficient with their stride.
Weber and Suter for blue liners. Brooks Orpik while not really being the most notable player, had a notable performance in this year's playoffs as a player who remained effective while sometimes looking like a geriatric on skates.
I’m gonna wait to see how that shootout works out before I judge him.Jason Allison with the Leafs 2005-06. Youtube him.

van Riemsdyk, Parenteau
I disagree heavily with this, it’s one of the reasons he is so awful defensively, he’s a slug out there. Only gonna get worse now that he’s getting closer to 30. If freaking Pavelski is in this thread, JvR belongs 110%sorry but JVR in this thread is absurd.
Like most big guys, he may not look like a speedster but he gets around just fine.

Clark went from 30 goals in 74 games in '07 to 25 in his last 251 games after.Chris Clark, DSP, and John Erskine are 1 2 3 the slowest Caps post 2004
How does that demonstrate a high hockey iq?
