Surprised to see no mention of Zetterberg yet. He's as slow as a tortoise and always has been. He's super strong on his skates though.

I haven't read through the thread, but Gudbranson is the slowest player I've seen on the Canucks outside of goons.

Oli Maatta is a really slow skater. Still an effective player though, which is a testament to how smart a player he is.

I was coming in to say exactly this. And I mean exactly, right down to the phrasing haha.

I was wondering if someone would mention him. His major skill was and is still high hockey IQ. In 7 seasons with the Rangers, he was +109.

He was voted by his peers to be one of the best coaches post-career.

I'm well aware of Stepan's high hockey iq, but a high +/- doesn't demonstrate this.
