#8 with a bullet! They steamrolled 4 teams that were legitimate title contenders. Way to bring it back to the West.

First of all, I'm thrilled. Finally. But, it's bittersweet. They left a lot of wins on the table. Berry did what Hakstol couldn't -- with equally talented teams.

If I was the Flyers, I'd be very leery if they had a bad start next season. I think Hakstol's personality, or lack there of, is suited to 20th century coaching. Guys grasp their sticks tight. It's not suited to the 21st century player even in the NCAA. The Sioux should have equaled or passed Michigan in the first decade of the 21st century. Congrats, Brad Berry!

Sioux Forever!

I'm excited that I have a reason to watch the Sioux next year, the team is really fun to watch. Especially compared to the nucks.

Here's to hoping the Sioux defend their title.

I don't want to be a PC guy (coming from a guy who reads the "Left Behind" series  ) but when will the title of the thread read "North Dakota Fighting HAWKS?

A few notes to add:
•The Minnesota game could end up being a Friday-Sunday series. The Gopher football team hosts Purdue on Saturday. The Vikings are home that Sunday, too.
•UND started last season with 7 of 8 on the road, including flights to Maine, Vermont and Colorado. This season, UND won’t get on a plane until December for the MSG game.
•UND does not go to Denver this season and Colorado College does not come to Grand Forks. The Tigers have come to Grand Forks for both a regular-season series and a playoff series in each of the last three seasons. They’ve been in Forks for 13 games in the last three years.
•With trips to St. Cloud, Duluth, Minneapolis and Omaha, it’s a good season for those who like to go to road games.
•The regional is in Fargo again. If UND can reach the NCAAs for a 15th straight season, it will be automatically placed in Scheels Arena.
•The only two seniors left — Gage Ausmus and Matt Hrynkiw — have been to the Frozen Four every year on campus. They’ll try to make it 4-for-4 in Chicago.
