Blues left Allen in STL for at least part of their roadtrip. To help him break his "mental lock."

Kalle Kossila (who's apparently with Anaheim's organization now) pulled a Granlund lacrosse move.

Preds tied with the Blues in points now for 3rd in the division. WC race is pretty tight 4p separate 6 teams.

Wild need to keep rolling. I don't want to worry about that damn wildcard race this year. Let the other teams fight over it.

The playoff race is pretty tight in general in the West, with the exception of the gap between 2nd and 3rd in the central. 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the Pacific are separated by a single point.

To pick this up a little more.....

In the East: Mont, Ott, Tor, Cmb, Wsh, Pit and NYR look like very good bets, with the top 4 in the Metro all but locks. However, the last playoff spot there could literally go to anyone.

West: SJ, Ana and Edm will jockey for 1-3 in the Pac, Min and Chi will do the same in the Cent, but all of those teams are all but locked into playoffs.
The 3rd Cent spot and the 2 WCs are wide open, except that Colorado and Ariz are out of the race.

^Expanding on that thought on Colorado, I didn't notice how bad the Avs were until I just peeked at the standings.

Not only are they last place in the league with 28 points, but they are 6 points under #29 Arizona and 19 points under the next 4 teams which are all tied at 47 points.

Yikes

It will be great then they once against do not fix their defense this off-season.

The thing is, it's not just their defense. According to ESPN, they are ranked 30th in GF, 30th in GA, 28th in PP and 25th in PK. Now, it could be that the defense is so ungodly bad that it's taking it's toll on all other aspects of the team, but it does seem that nothing is really working right now in Denver.
