The kid hasn't played hockey since March 24 2022 where he only played 1 minute and 37 seconds. No one is signing him, if there was even the slimmest chance he was able to play next season, Vegas would have qualified him

I really would have picked him over Hischier. Hischier has been unreal. Sad to see what has happened to Patrick. I hope he can somehow get healthy and carve out an nhl career. Obviously quality of life comes first.

If he is ready to come back, I’m sure a lot of teams would be willing to give him a PTO.

Patrick would have been North American bias pick like many others. Devils made very very good choice. Injuries or not.
