So where are all the Timmins defenders who kept telling me 3 years is too soon to judge whether a prospect is a bust or not ? I knew it after the first year this guy was never gonna pan out just like most of the picks we make except for Kotka. Fire our scouting staff already it is the laughingstock of the league ( not to mention our entire upper management)

Another one bites the bust!

That's 5 busts in 6 years.

Well done Trevor Timmins! Take a bow!
But but but... the 2007 draft!!!!

Unreal. This guy had 1 great draft and how blown so many picks since and somehow still has a job. Guess I'm not surprised since MB still has a job as well.
Mind blowing.

Followed by 4 straight gems in the years after you carefully selected to push your agenda!

2015 Juulsen
2016 Sergachev
2017 Poehling
2018 Kotkaniemi
None of those guys are top 4 dmen or top 6 forwards as of right now.

Also, 2015 and 2017 were strong draft years, hes not the only one to find a "gem".

Leblanc

Tinordi

Beaulieu

Galchenyuk

McCarron

Scherbak

Juulsen

Sergarchev
This is partly why I give Bergevin some credit. We somehow have lots of young talent while having all of our first rounders bust lol

Poehling isn't a gem at this point... lets see him in the NHL first.

And why should we be impressed by drafting a good player with the #3 overall pick in 2018? You have to really F up to not draft well at #3 overall.

That is truly incredible.

Yeah it's incredible how bad our GMs did at retaining great players like Subban and McDonagh.

At least we got Domi, Drouin, Tatar, and Suzuki for Pacioretty, Galchenyuk, and Sergachev.

Poehling hasn't played a game in the NHL and Juulsen is a nobody so far. Gem? What does that make Subban, an actually good pick?

Kotkaniemi is great pick, but it balances out Scherbak/Mccarron being crap ones

Love too include picks from 15 years ago who have since retired from hockey

Yakupov, Ryan Murray, and Griffin Reinhart were all drafted right around Galchneyuk. And we were looking for a center that draft. The next centers were Grigorenko (whom a lot were heavily pushing) and Faksa.

Jagr went 5th overall, right after Mike Ricci at 4th overall, keith Primeau at #3 overall, and Peter Nedved at #2 overall.

The most important thing you can do as a scout is nail your high lottery picks.
