You do not necessarily need physicality on your fourth line. You need guys who are not liabilities and can play roles. Nieto is that.

Impossible to get excited about a pure 4th liner...but hey, he's paid like a fourth liner, has speed, and is not a complete black hole offensively so it's hard to imagine this not being a clear and cheap upgrade.

Also 83 is a goofy-ass number and I love it.

Yes, because you might get a better player who has to settle for a cheaper deal. Hypothetically if Hathaway sits maybe you can get him at 1.8 mil instead of Nieto.
