My vote is for Provy but it's tainted with homerism as a Flyers fan. Werenski definitely has a shot as do many others. Only time will tell. I love what I've seen from Provorov though and his stock can only go up, especially once he gets away from the human paperweight that is Andrew MacDonald.

paper weight?

Andrew MacDonald as a D partner, in terms of Provorov's development, is equivalent to a 70 kg plate chained to each of Provorov's skates. When he gets away from AMac, and only then, will Provorov get the recognition that he deserves

Are Karlsson and Hedman gonna retire in five years orrr?
I'd Also Say Letang but who knows with his Injuries, he very well could retire in 5 years.

6 years isn't that long in defensemen terms. I'd still be looking for Karlsson, Hedman, Doughty as your likely Norris favorites, with a good chance that guys like Josi, Pieterangelo, Subban, OEL, maybe even Letang would still be in the conversation. Those guys aren't all going to fall off the map by their early/mid 30s.

Also, I like Slavin and all but I want him nowhere near this thread. He's not that caliber and doesn't need that sort of expectation on his shoulders.

Yeah most of the top Dmen in the league at the moment have the type of games that should age well. Most important part of a Dmen's game is the brain, and that doesn't slow down at 33. Karlsson and Hedman will likely still be toward the top, guys like Keith and Burns will have aged out by then, and some young guys will have taken some steps.

Logan Stanley - Winnin'Peg Jets

Jacob Trouba - Seattle Nordiques

But seriously, hoping it'll be a healthy Karlsson.
