The Vancouver Stealth are currently at $77,74m which is $6,34m over the cap with 3 positions to fill. I really don't get what's so tough about sticking to the rules and doing some elementary school math.

No need to fire pots shots there pal. I knew I was gonna be over cap since round 5. I've been working on deals to get under cap since round 9 or so. I've also been very sick since around round 12 which doesn't give me much time to come on and make picks or make trades. It isn't illegal yet. I'm supposed to be under cap by the end of the draft which hasn't happened yet.

I wasn't firing shots, just putting it out there. The thing I don't get is why you'd pick someone like Grabovski with a $5m cap hit in Round 17 while knowing your cap trouble. I mean it's your team and so on, but this pick for example did let me think that you might not be aware or whatever.

Cap Issues

Thanks guys. I've been fully aware I was over the cap and have been trying to fix it since round 8. I've compiled a list of players I would be open to trading to "fix" this situation. And ftr I chose players like Grabo because he was BPA and to trade him away in a package. Never knew there would be little to no trading in this draft.

E.Staal-Malkin-Hossa
D.Sedin-H.Sedin-Vrbata
Hartnell-Hanzal-Kassian
Michalek-Eller-Grabovski

Scandella-Carlson
Wiercoch-Gudbranson
Marincin-xxx

OTB:
Sedins: Could be available in a package which must include a C and a LW
Staal: Available for a LW on a team with some cap space. Will be available for a downgrade
Vrbata: As much as I love him, the cap is a bit too high. Could be traded for an almost equal 2RW
Grabovski: For a cheap RW, downgrade to trade him
Malkin: Could trade him but would need a stud 1C in return or a package

Owns a very projectable 6-3 frame, plus sound all-round ability. Moves the puck efficiently and also has some offensive upside.
