I want to see a 3 on 3 midget tournament. No not the age group actual midgets. They usually get the short end of the stick and are underrepresented. I am about equality for all. Lets not get short tempered when it comes to progress.

I want to see a 3 on 3 tournament for the overweight. Make it an annual charity event and call it John Goodman's All-Stars vs. Mike Myer's Fat B*****ds, and the players have to be at least 300 lbs. to qualify.

. You'd need it to become some form of popular gathering like it is often with the NBA where players travel there regardless if they are invited to the event or not to get players really excited and involved. I'd also really open the skills competions to specialists. I'm fairly certain for example many of the fastest skaters or hardest shots in the league are greeat good at the one thing and just ok all around but not good enough to be an All-Star. Get more people / players involved even those who aren't "stars" especially since alot of the star players don't really ooze personality , to put it mildly.

The All-Star game isn't exciting because the league is run by old boring dudes who aren't exciting. The draft was a really fun concept, and isn't that the whole point of the All-Star weekend?

I always though a draft with 3 on 3 hockey would be fan. We would be able to have really different flavors of hockey.

I guess with small teams we would need to somehow ban the push to get teammates on the team because it distorts the draft. If the host team has 3 players, then ofc the captain from the home team wants his teammates...

It should be but you have too many people screaming about the "integrety of the game" ( which is a joke considering how "player safety" is enforced ) when even a little fun side activity like the ASG gets too much of it especially if its not the kind of fun the executives like. The whole John Scott saga proved that.

Oh, come on already. This is farcical.

East vs. West.

Fans vote for starting lineup (3 forwards, 2 d, and 1 goalie). Zero tolerance for troll votes and options are pre-selected by the league. Cannot have more than 1 player from any team voted in. Remainder of teams selected by hockey writers association.

Mandatory participation or suspended 3 regular season games. If player is legitimately injured, they must have missed 3 full games prior to all-star game.

Done and done. Enough of the stupid gimmicks. It’s becoming a clown show.
I would prefer that fans stopping voting for the starting line-up as it's just the start of the game and it's just gimmicky for a 40-seconds of an opening shift. It's better if players themselves voted who should be an all-star but cannot vote for his own teammates but with a catch: home ice advantage in the Stanley Cup Final similar to world series but that way, you will see players trying their best to secure that advantage. You will see that the players will vote for a superstar who they thought that would help them securing that advantage. All-star game should be held in early December rather than January where virtually every team is still in playoff contention if the format were ever to be adopted.

They should have a two week Olympic tournament without the Olympics and invite other countries and put on prime time all through the tournament.

Will they get sued is the question?
That sounds like the world cup with extra steps
