I don't know what to say except that i cant wait for Bergevin to be fired.last year, Timmins wanted Cam Hillis with one of our 2nd rounds and MB just traded the pick and TT just looked disapointed
It’s not stupid if there is at least one player still there at 64 that they had their eye on if they had kept their pick at 50.I’m not trying to sound like a broken record, but losing 14 spots in a draft - almost half an entire round - just to pick up an additional 5th is ****ing stupid.
Carolina trading #59 to Minn for #73 and #99
Na, Timmins doesn't have much say. He gives his list to MB and MB manages the picks regardless of what Timmins wants. Player scouting is all on Timmins, pick management is all on MB.
So for example MB looks at the names on Timmins list, if he trades back it's because he thinks we could end up with the highest ranked player on our list at #60.
Habs aiming for all 31 7th picksI hope we turn all our 5ths into like 15 7ths and go ham
How do you know we were ripped off without even knowing who we gonna pick and how they’ll pan out?Again... trading down is fine.
Getting ripped off isn't.
Lmao 14 spot drop and get a pick 27 spots ahead of us.Canes trade 59 to the Wild for 73 and 99.
It's not even a question of names. There have been like 3-4 trades since that show how dumb it was and those trades are happening for later picks. Bergevin f***ed up big time. How do you know we were ripped off without even knowing who we gonna pick and how they’ll pan out?
So we all in agreement that Bergevin is a moron?
Opportunity cost. Another team's already gotten a better return than we did for giving up a LOWER pick. How do you know we were ripped off without even knowing who we gonna pick and how they’ll pan out?
I'm okay with that. But you'd better do better than a 5th rounder for it. I mean wtf?
Carolina getting a better return for pick 59 than Montreal did for pick 50....
Wait till he signs Gardiner at 7.5m for 7 yearsBergevin better have an answer for that terrible trade.
