Maybe Kampf, Kase and/or Mrazek.

My money is on it never happening due some boycott of some sort.

Tavares might get it from reputation over some younger guys, just like Carey price will

Other three are locks

Rielly has a somewhat decent chance of making it. I’ve seen him on many speculated rosters

Greatest best on best hockey in the world is back boys and girls.

This is a day for joy and celebration.

Matthews
Nylander
Marner
Rielly
Mikheyev

And possibly Tavares and Campbell depending on their seasons.

He's been on almost every roster prediction I've seen. He certainly has a chance.
we'll see but even at his peak he was used as nothing more than a sheltered depth winger getting minimal playing time

I highly doubt Marner makes it.

He has not shown any big-game ability, and Team Canada, with all it's crazy depth is going to put him on the world stage? Not a chance.

Team Canada will pick the best players that Canada has to offer, without any care for position. We have had previous teams loaded with C's, who played wing, so saying that Marner plays RW doesn't make a dimes worth of difference.

I think his poor showing in every playoff series is going to be why he doesn't receive consideration. He just hasn't shown that he can play at a higher level when it matters the most.

Tavares over Marner for Team Canada, easily, along with Rielly for consideration.

Marner is 5th amongst Canadian players in PPG and total points the last 3 seasons. Unless he takes a huge nose dive this year he's making the team.

If he doesn’t make the team that will be a huge hit to his ego.

Boycotts only work in the Summer games because only one quarter of the world watches the Winter whereas the entire world watches the Summer.

I’m the reverse, it’s all about the Winter Olympics for me.
Sounds like it’s happening, they did leave an out if Covid gets bad though.

I'd take Marner as a 13th forward but thats about it. His comparables (Point, Barzal) have proven that they are much better when the stakes are high

Just like every Team Canada, the last spot or two will always be controversy. Barring injuries and if they have to make the selection today. I don't think Marner and JT are locks.
For me these players are locks.
Marchand-Sid-Mack
Huberdeau-McD-Point
Courtier-ROR-Stone
Bergernon-Barzal

Which leaves two spots, Stamkos should take one of them being the Captain of back to back Cup Champs.
Then there is Toews, as long as he is back and healthy, will be heavy fav to get in due to being clutch and being with past winning Team Canada's team.
There is also Schef.
Ofcourse JT and Marner.
Won't be surprise to see Hyman making the team if he really clicks with McD, since he can PK and is a great complimentary player.

Kase if healthy is a 100% lock. Kampf should be pretty much garrenteed as well unless CZE don't want a defensive specialist.
