Post your roster!

The exchange sets has been good for me this far! I have put in $20 into the game and the only purchased players on my team are Vatanen and Barkov.

86 Panarin - 89 TOTW Barkov - 88 TOTW Kane
86 TOTW Landeskog 74 X-factor Aho - 88 TOTW Pastrnak
83 TOTW Granlund - 77 X-factor Draisaitl - 87 TOTW Wheeler
86 PT Rantanen - 84 Bergeron - 87 HR C.Lemieux

85 PT Reilly - 88 HUT NHL 22 Vatanen
84 TOTW Fowler - 84 Makar
84 PT Toews - 84 Doughty

90 TOTW Vasilevskiy
82 NHL Icons Vernon

What kind of offset can I consider the X-factor? +10 or +15?

Seriously I don't think I've ever had such a good team. I would like one more really good center to push Bergeron out and then maybe one more competent RD!

Do you really play the defensemen on their off side? Do you get the offense to make up for all the times someone abuses it? Splitting wrong sided defenses is the only thing simple enough for me :D

To be honest I've had my D on their off side for a long time because I rely heavily on one-timers from the point (Makar especially). I might have to try putting them back on their regular side just to see if they are better defensively or if it's easier to play D that way.

It's easier to get them swap sides in the offensive zone than the opposite.

Poke checking from one's off side is quite hard. If you play only physical defense or just block shots it might work. Or if you really score a ton.

My D pairs are on their natural sides for even strength, it made a difference last year at least. When the pass intercept was weaker.

All I need is powerups now, really. And a McDavid.

I would recommend trying it out at least. You can still get offense from the D, just not onetimers. They do better in positioning in their own zone and intercept passes better.

I find it makes your offense from the D less predictable (i.e. not every shot attempt is a one-timer). I also find it better for working break-outs in transition by going D to D and keeping the puck on their forehand.

I'll play along, this is my free-to-play team so far.

87 - XF Pasta 86 - PU Oates - 85 Gold Rantanen

86 - XF Stamkos - 88 - XF Draisaitl - 84 PT Hall

88 - SO Carter - 85 XF - Bergeron - 87 16B Marleau

Pulled untradeable poty McDavid a month ago, other than that pack pulls have been meh this year. I usually play like 5–10 rivals games per week and some squad battles to reach pro 1.

Who did you guys pick from the free 90 pack? For me Välimäki was perfect because of synergies and my left side was weak anyways.

92 XF Mackinnon - 90 HR Peterka - 90 U22 Stutzle
89 XF Pastrnak - 90 16B Hintz - 90 XF Kucherov
88 XF Eichel - 88 HR Matthews - 88 XF Barzal
82 Wilson - 83 PUI Carbonneau - 85 Malkin

88 BI Prokop - 89 XF Josi
87 HR Makar - 88 SO Hedman
84 16B Zub - 84 EVO Romanov

86 Fleury
Silver goalis for syns

Everything is untradeable minus Zub.

More concerned getting Stutzle up to a 92 than Eichel given my lack of decent LH forwards, but those are probably the two next upgrades. I have an XF Kopitar that I'd like to get in at 3C/4C once I can upgrade him but it's not the priority.

The D is a bit of a mess behind Josi. Makar has been fantastic for me but I'm concerned about this one moving forward once the bigger cards can match his speed. Prokop and Hedman are already too slow for my play type, but are decent stay at home babysitters for Josi/Makar. Only using Fleury's base because I pulled it untradeable a few days ago, we'll see how that one works out but so far so good.

Dominant lineup and they make every game competitive. Undefeated with it so far through 20-25 online games and every squad battle game. Need to focus on upgrading my defense more though but they haven't cost me so far.

That Larkin is a must-have imo. Also that Stankoven is an insanely underrated card I highly suggest using it if you need a good fast and agile forechecker with an insane shot.
