Remember how EA didn't show any gameplay footage for NHL 15 last year up until it was near release date?

Just keep that in mind. I warned many on here who thought the game would still be great, and look what they delivered to us last year, one of the worst hockey games released under EA Sports.

There's a reason why so many of us have become skeptics when it comes to their products.

Exactly. I understand they're a small team but I hate all the sneaky things they do (hiding information, waiting until the last minute to release an important detail, play off old game modes as "new"). These tactics really turn me off which is why I didn't buy last years game. The player editing renewed my confidence in them a bit but it's just been drained away again.

Jesus Christ they have no attention to detail whatsoever.

The Hurricanes name and number font is still out of date. Anaheim's name and back number font are also out of date (they switched to the Stadium Series iteration which is thinner). Philly's number outline is still way too thin. I wish I could manifest into words how utterly irritating this is to people that aren't [bare with me as I create a new term] jerseyheads.

The graphics honestly looked worse than 15...

The only thing that trailer got me excited for is the 'walk the blue line'. It seems like now your character wont spin and turn at random and/or awkwardly.

I'm prepared to be disappointed though.

I wouldn't say this is the new winning team celebration; from the video it looks like the Islanders-specific celebration where the players pump their arms up and down while the crowd chants "Yes! Yes! Yes!". Hopefully they are adding a lot of unique arena things for each team as they have claimed.

Looking at just those HUT cards, it looks like there is even less separation in overalls. Jason Chimera 84 etc.

What the ****? Toews an 89 and Pacioretty an 87 but Chimera is 84? What world do these guys live in? Thank god they confirmed edit player in at launch; won't mean much for HUT, but at least my GM modes can be legit.

I love how Mackinnon is an 84 defense and Patches is an 85.
They still have jerseys too big for the players.

Only nice thing to see was the Rangers center ice salute but even after watching that two times it will get stale.

I miss the real footage they used to use for their intros.
