Team History
It all began back in NHL '09.
TeamHF, who were a fairly good club in their own right, split off into two separate clubs after disagreements of just how good the team was. The first club was called the
HF Black Aces, who felt that they had something to prove and were, for the most part, a mainstay in the lower ranks of Division 1. The second club came to be known as
The Visor Crew. The club featured multiple HF Habs fans on it's roster including;
TheGoalJudge,
Pierre Dagenais, and
Bad Natey.
The Visor Crew went on to have major success in NHL '09 quickly becoming a Top-10 team on the PS3, sometimes breaking the Top-5. It was announced that EA Sports would be holding a hockey playoff tournament featuring the top teams, with the winners being flown out of country to play in the EA Sports NHL Championships. The Visor Crew sat in 6th place when this was announced. However, after climbing into the Top-5 almost permanently, EA Sports continually delayed the playoffs. Members of the club became frustrated and moved onto other games. When EA finally began the playoffs, The Visor Crew hadn't played in a month and missed the playoffs by only a few slots.
Many of the founding members were annoyed with EA after this and ended up leaving the team the following year in NHL '10. The Visor Crew remained a good club, but generally sat just outside the Top-20. Multiple tryouts were held over the course of the season and a minor league team was even created. For a short while, both clubs ran fairly well. But as new blood was injected, the club suffered growing pains as they slipped slightly further down the standings. Just like with the original TeamHF, some of the original founding members were upset with the mediocrity as they had come to expect more. During this time, the EA Sports playoffs were coming up again. The Visor Crew was nowhere close to a playoff position and after talking with the team, Bad Natey went on to a join another club, The Acolytes, who were playoff bound. The Visor Crew was renamed for the remainder of the season as new management took the helm.
The Visor Crew made multiple appearances throughout the rest of the NHL series, although most founding players moved on. However, NHL '16 is where TVC makes it's triumphant return to climb the ladder to greatness.
