What I expect:

Ryan (80) - Getzlaf (80) - Perry (80)
Cogliano (80) - Koivu (80) - Selanne (80)
Beleskey (80) - Bonino (80) - Palmieri (80)
Staubitz (80)
UFA's...

Beauchemin (80) - Fowler (80)
Allen (80) - Sbisa (80)
Lydman (80) - Souray (80)
Guenin (80)

Hiller (80)
Fasth (80)

It seems everyone has 80 under the new "system"... I wish they would go back to how they used to rate players, where overall number actually was an indication of how good a player was...

In that case (combination between last season and expectations for the next one):

Ryan (85) - Getzlaf (87) - Perry (88)
Cogliano (78) - Koivu (81) - Selanne (85)
Beleskey (76) - Bonino (77) - Palmieri (75)
Staubitz (72)
UFA's...

Beauchemin (81) - Fowler (82)
Allen (79) - Sbisa (80)
Lydman (78) - Souray (79)
Guenin (73)

Hiller (87)
Fasth (78)

Most likely it wont be this lineup, prob some players traded and whatnot but i think this is close-ish.

Lines might not be correct but I think these are in the ballpark. Maybe take or give two ratings from each player. Not sure exactly how they do the rankings (like how much more shot accuracy is worth than fighting). Also, EA throws in some odd-balls every year. Remember a couple years ago Regehr was the top D in the league?

I'll take a shot with my team (Maple Leafs). EA tends to screw up potential and overalls, for example, Gunnarsson has been a 79 for three straight games now. I'll try to account for how bad EA can be at assessing players:

Joffrey Lupul (86, C) - Tyler Bozak (81, C) - Phil Kessel (88, C)
James Van Riemsdyk (83, B-) - Mikhail Grabovski (83, C) - Nikolai Kulemin (82, C)
Nazem Kadri (77, B) - Jay McClement (81, C) - Matt Frattin (75, B-)
Tim Connolly (83, C) - David Steckel (79, C) - Mike Brown (77, C)
Matthew Lombardi (82, C) - Clarke MacArthur (83, C)

Dion Phaneuf (85, C) - Carl Gunnarsson (80, B-)
Jake Gardiner (80, B) - Cody Franson (81, B)
John-Michael Liles (83, C) - Mike Komisarek (81, C)
Korbinian Holzer (76, B-)

James Reimer (82, B-)
Ben Scrivens (77, C)

Pretty sure we already have a thread for this but I'm too lazy to find it.

Right now, this is what our line-up is shaping up to be. Of course, the lines may change.

Silfverberg (75 B) - Spezza (89 C) - Michalek (85 C)
Latendresse (82 C)- Turris (83 B) - Alfredsson (84 D)
Greening (81 B-) - Regin (79 C) - Zibanejad (77 B)
O'Brien (77 C) - Smith (80 C) - Neil (82 C)

Methot (81 C) - Karlsson (88 B-)
Cowen (81 B) - Gonchar (84 D)
Phillips (84 C-) - Lundin (79 C)

Anderson (85 C)
Bishop (80 B-)

If Silfverberg and/or Zibby are having great rookie seasons then their ratings would probably get bumped up through roster updates.

2nd time I got really'd...

What I expect EA will rate them.. Not what I rate them.

Nabokov was like an 89 in nhl 12 wasn't he?
Also, Elliot was 85 after an update and i'm sure they won't stop there.

I did notice EA loves Del Zotto and usually won't let him in with ratings that dont allow him to hit 90 overall, aha

I don't know if those are personal ratings (as some have posted) or EA projections - but if the latter, I think you're underrating Crosby, Neal and Malkin. I'd lean towards 94-88-92 for the trio in NHL 13 based on previous ratings and recent performance.

No major jumps except for Seguin (+2) and the kids who didn't see significant NHL action. Other than that, a couple +1's and -1's around the board.

Expected Ratings for Goalies

93: Jonathan Quick
92: Henrik Lundqvist
91: Tim Thomas, Roberto Luongo, Pekka Rinne, Ryan Miller, Martin Brodeur
90: Carey Price, Jaro Halak, Marc-André Fleury, Mikka Kiprussof, Cam Ward
89: Brian Elliot, Jimmy Howard, Corey Schneider, Antti Niemi, Mike Smith
88: Tuuka Rask, Kari Lehtonen, Niklas Backstrom, Jonas Hiller, Ondrej Pavelec
87: Ilya Bryzgalov, Semyon Varlamov, Jonathan Bernier
86: Craig Anderson, Jose Theodore, Devan Dubnyk
85: Corey Crawford, James Reimer, Michal Neuvirth, Jonas Gustavsson, Jean-Sebastien Giguere, Johan Hedberg
84: Evgeni Nabokov, Mathieu Garon, Tomas Vokoun, Scott Clemmensen, Nikolai Khabibulin, Brent Johnson, Braden Holtby
83: Sergei Bobrovsky, Steve Mason, Josh Harding, Ben Scrivens
82: Curtis Sanford, Anders Lindback, Peter Budaj

I think these ratings are pretty fair, maybe I overrate Cam Ward & Ryan Miller and underrate Tomas Vokoun & Peter Budaj, but I think these ratings will be similar to what EA will use. Maybe -1 overall to all of them, but the range will be pretty similar. I know I forgot some goalies but most of them that have been forgotten are because I didn't watch them that much so I would be underating them.
