I don't think the Saints control their own destiny for the South. Even if they beat Tampa and Atlanta to end 9-8, Tampa still wins the division with a win over Carolina in week 18. Tampa would still have the common games tie breaker (9-5 vs. 7-7) in that case.

Pretty crazy scenario now in NFC South.

- San Francisco has clinched the #1 seed

- If Dallas wins they will be the #2 seed. Else if Philadelphia wins they will be the #2 seed. Else if Detroit wins they will be the #2 seed. If all 3 lose Dallas is the #2 seed.

- If Detroit loses or Dallas or Philadelphia win, Detroit is the #3 seed. Else Dallas is the #3 seed.

- If Tampa Bay wins, they are the #4 seed. Else the winner of Atlanta/New Orleans is the #4 seed.

- Philadelphia is the #5 seed unless Dallas loses and Philadelphia wins - in which case Dallas is the #5 seed.

- If Green Bay wins and the Rams lose, Green Bay is #6. Else the Rams are #6.

- If Green Bay wins and the Rams win, Green Bay is #7. If Green Bay wins and the Rams lose, the Rams are #7.
If GB loses: If Seattle wins they are #7. Else if Tampa Bay AND New Orleans win, New Orleans is #7. Else If New Orleans OR Tampa Bay lose and Minnesota wins, Minnesota is #7. Else Green Bay is #7.
