Tom Poti was phenomenal tonight. Haggerty's shot looked great on the powerplay. Talbot made some crucial saves late in the game.

The Caps look more mentally strong than the Lightning. Rangers take a a quick 4-1 lead in game 6, Caps make it 4-3 and outplay the Rangers. Rangers do that in this game and Tampa gives up.

Remember. .. This means nothing. ..

Good game. Too many shots for my liking but this game shows you that their defense and goaltending can't compete with ours when they actually show up.

The media blows in the breeze like Kleenex.
They sure did not even out the tone after the losses in Games 2 and 3
Aaah who cares

Difference with Hank in this game was that he far better rebound control, better reads on pucks, far better composure on shots.

A HUGE indicator when Hank is on NOT on his game is his timing on collapsing into the butterfly. Last game he was dropping WAY too early which was giving a massive target on the top left corner. This game, being far more patient, he didn't give Tampa much to shoot.

Sucks that Hank was terrible in game 3. Could have been up 3-1 right now, but it is what it is.

Onto game 5!

Good thing Bernmeister didn't get the chance to pick the Rangers goalie tonight.

The thing is, wanting to start Talbot this game was questionable but not insane, Bern wanted to start Talbot in game 2 to rest Lundqvist after Lundqvist gave up 1 goal and the best goal stat-wise in the playoffs.
