Agree - no need to be critical or expect Yandle to be a gifted writer. It's enough for me that he is at worst our 2nd best defenseman and enjoys playing for the Rangers. Hopefully they will find a way to sign him - will be very difficult to make that work. We would be dead without him this year. Seems responsible for about 1/2 of our big goals during the 2nd half of the season.

There's little doubt in my mind that McDonagh is our best defenseman. He does everything and he does everything well. All critical situations. He moves the puck--he's in on offense, he's our best defender--he's on the power play--he kills penalties.

Yandle is our most creative intuitive defenseman with the puck---but he's not a great defender.

Worst defenseman IMO on the team is Boyle. Easiest to push off the puck, prone to giveaways and very prone to running out of steam.
