And he’s right. Imo we lost a bit of something when we just stopped doing it. After all the crap we’d gone through, complete the play. They should be doing it at least occasionally in the playoffs.

What was the point? If it was just to give the fans a reason to just show up then Cherry is right about this team.

I don't know about a full surge, but I do wish we would do the viking clap after every home win.

In fact, I think it would be pretty cool to do it as the teams line up for the faceoff after every Canes goal in PNC Arena.

He's made it rain on a few refs this season.

I think the experience has been valuable for him. Hopefully he’ll build on that and gain some confidence for when the mics are on and he’s expected to perform at the highest level. I don’t think it’s fair to judge him by a disappointing “ding ding” in his rookie year.

My understanding was that it's because they were running out of ideas. As it came time for them to buckle down and focus on winning the next game, they decided it was time to stop worrying about what they were going to do afterwards.

That being said, I thought they could have just gone back to basics so that they didn't have to think about it. Skol clap, skate into the glass, skate off. But maybe they thought that would get boring? I don't know.
