Speculation: New Uniforms

Pens fan coming in peace. Thought I'd throw a design in the ring and see reactions. Is this the kind of thing you want from the new uniform? It looks like they're getting rid of the warning flags.

I remember seeing a youth-sized mock jersey at the team store that was almost identical to the red design on the left. That was some time ago, maybe 2 years.

^ I like that. But to be honest, I like the practice jerseys better than the "real" jerseys. The Canes jersey has always been WAY too busy for my tastes. I've always hated the flag waist band.

Exactly and it's a slight but definite improvement in my view.

If the Devils didn't already have black on the shoulders, I'd favor that look too.

Sometimes there's just no explaining fashion. I'm not overly surprised that it came into existence seeing some of the other variants of otherwise straightforward logos that I've seen. Basically if you can mutilate a Boston Red Sox logo you can mutilate prettymuch anything.

That hat has been around for a while, so I wouldn't worry about it.


Anyone think the latest instagram pic might be a shoulder? The more I look at it the more it looks like a shoulder instead of a chest.

That was my original thought as well, it looks too small to be the chest logo, but it could just be the zoom/angle making it look that way.

Maybe they are unifying the look of the Away/Homes jerseys with the Alternates?

I personally prefer the alternate logo over the toilet swirl.

I noticed that as well and was wondering the same thing. They also make no mention of the thirds. So will they only use the new home and away jerseys, or change those and keep the thirds?

Count me in on wanting the tie-strings, too.

I was just coming here to say I thought it looked like a shoulder.

I really hope that isn't the shoulder though, I don't think our main logo is a problem or needs to be updated. I'm not gonna be happy if we put the main logo on the shoulders, and have some kind of "Canes" script on the front...

Yeah hard to say, either they had someone do some real nice angle work on the logo for the primary up front, or they're shifting the primary to the shoulder.

Trying to look at the blured sliver of background, and now I'm not really sure what I'm looking at Definitely some good camera work either way.

In other jersey news, an HF user found these on a Dallas Star app:

Not terrible, but the D looks a bit rough on the edges in the circle logo. It looks better with the other, it has that 3D pop to it.

I'm not a huge fan of the Stars logo. It's not terrible, but why change at all if you're just going to go with that?

I wouldn't mind if we made our third jerseys our primaries. I love the Storm Flag/Triangle theme (though no one outside of Raleigh and Charlotte gets it).
