I got to watch the second and third periods. I thought Kinkaid delivered another strong performance overall, and I still really appreciate how he doesn't get rattled under pressure. Nice to see Cammy continue to be useful when he isn't injured (which is all we can expect of him and so far he has done just that). Glad Ryder could get on the scoreboard to end his 21 game goal drought and hopefully he can begin a little scoring streak for himself now, because he is only an asset to this team when he can pot goals. Also, it might be wishful thinking on my part, but I thought that Lou looked exasperated with Zid's boneheaded penalties, so maybe a trade involving him is on the horizon.

****, that could be another McEichel contender to deal with. Not good.

Friedman just announced: Giroux announced he is fine and he's expecting to play tomorrow vs NJ.

He got really lucky, it looked brutal on the live feed, they took forever getting him off the ice, there was blood and they took him to the Hurricanes bench before they even took him to the locker room.

Amazing that he's fine after that.

Larsson was great but wasn't perfect. Still need to learn not to be caught flat footed at times. That cost a penalty and what ended up being a goal. Only mistake of the game though.

The penalty was way before that happened. Jagr turned it over and then took a penalty and then that sequence happened

Kink will probably end up stealing the game

That moment where you wish you could take things back.

He did play well, though...

And at least we continued to better our Draft position.

Should be interesting what happens tomorrow against Philly.

I actually want the Devils to beat them because....Flyers.

Unfortunately I would say Mark Fraser call up incoming.

Would make sense though, since he is the only guy down there with NHL experience and he is a tougher player for Philly...

I'd still like to see Burlon.

I never left a game early as long as I have been able to get there myself. Tonight was the first. They were a disgrace for the first two periods. Lucky for them the Habs weren't much better. They would have lost 6-3

Elias is not a leader. He's a load. Didn't skate at all for the first two periods

Larsson was the bright spot. He's a machine on the PK

Say what you want, but I'm already seeing some improvements, if not very slightly.

We haven't been outplayed really badly like we were before the coaching change, with the exception of the Detroit game. And even in that game, we allowed under 30 shots on goal.

We haven't allowed 30 shots on goal in a game since the change.

We haven't been producing hardly any more shots than we were, there's one thing that hasn't improved.

The PP has gone downhill, but I was never in favor of Barr being let go.

The kids aren't being punished like they were under DeBoer.

I'm seeing improvements, if not very minor.

Remember we were 1-8-0 in Lemaire's first 9 games after the coaching change. I'm absolutely not expecting anything close to what happened after he came back, but I am seeing some improvements. The offense hasn't been much better, but they have improved a little bit defensively.

I'm sorry man...Zajac on the point, 3 defenseman playing 27 or more minutes in regulation(I understand Harrold was injured) some of the line combo's, Gionta, Bernier and Tootoo seeing Power play time ...

That **** is bush league....

If DeBoer did any of this **** this place would be a zoo....freakin Zidlicky played almost 28 minutes tonight.

I'm actually a bit disappointed with the loss of Deboer, but I don't care who the coach is now. A crap team is a crap team. You can say just about any PP combo and any icetime allocation is bush league given this roster.

I hope Deboer gets a chance to coach somewhere where he gets a real chance at a Cup. I don't think he was right for the direction this team has to go. I don't know if it will go that direction though.

The 2011 team was actually talented...and Stevens and Oates are not Jacques Lemaire.

This team sucks to high heavens. I don't see much improvement in anything.

I'm not defending anything with the power play. I was never in favor of Barr being let go. Bernier was used on the PP under DeBoer/Barr too though.

I agree. DeBoer couldn't be here for a rebuild though. Hopefully this team gets younger, and DeBoer wasn't the right coach if that is to happen.

I haven't liked anything about Elias this year. His attitude and play have really been a disappointment. I'm not looking forward to another year of him. I wouldn't be upset he was traded at the deadline, to be perfectly honest. I think there would still be a demand for him if he was put on the block.

This team and organization needs a top to bottom makeover. It started with firing DeBoer. It continues now with us trying jump start some players that can hopefully prove they're not complete turds and hopefully by the grace of God some team will trade for them. I'm looking at you Ryder, Havlat, Zidlicky, Jagr, et al.

As these guys are moved, roster spots open and then maybe we can see if any of our prospects have wha it takes.

Games like tonight are perfect for this.
