Gelinas had a goal from the red line that game too.

though I realize most of his pine riding days were well after that goal :)
I'd somehow forgotten about him already and that memories tune popped in my head

Missed most of the game other than seeing Merrill turn it over and get burned lol. Good to see Sislo pot two, must feel great. DSP holy hell, his shooting percentage is 43% haha.

Just got back from the game and have come to the FINAL conclusion that Merrill is and always will be a 7th Dmen/ AHL player. Forget his plus/minus tonight, those stats are deceiving as hell. He contributed directly to a goal and both penalties were stupid ones. I don't want to see him ever again on the ice. On a positive note, DSP is REALLY impressing me since he was traded here. Though he isn't the fastest skater on the ice, he's a work horse looking for those dirty goals and has the hands for it. Glad Sislo finally broke the ice. Blandisi had some nice passes created the 2 goals in the 2nd period. All in all, not a bad game at all!

The best part of this game happened at the beginning of the second period, when Dano tried to say "Devante Smith-Pelly" but butchered it and said "Devante Smelly".

indeed on that bolded statement

I recall a game last season (pens I think) where devs were dealt a pretty bad loss and I'm pretty sure merrill was -4 just on that one night

but in this game I'd say his errors were not only more noticeable
but they were FAR more tied to goals against than that unfortunate -4 pens game

sorry I'm just on a tear on jm tonight
was just ranting in some other thread this week about his game breaking presence
if we didn't score all those goals tonight, we'd lose this one given the team's typical goal production

Okay, so I could watch the game live on my phone earlier tonight, but I can't watch the replay on my computer because of ******** blackout restrictions. Thanks NHL.TV.
