DeBoer: "(We were) hanging on, but I don't care at this point. We just need points. It's a tough building against a desperate team."
Only Peter DeBoer would call a half full arena on a Monday night in December to the worst team in the league a "tough building"
Wat is up with elias
"Jesus, look at Brophy. He's plastered.
He told me so. If anybody boards him, he's gonna piss all over himself. "
It's amazing that people actually take most of the things that come out of the mouths of the players, coaches, and Lou seriously
Most of the guys use the same go to cliches every single game
People don't like Pete, so it's the cool thing to do to point out that he uses the same cliche every game as if he really is serious
Since when has anybody in this organization given the media anything of substance?

the level of pain in his groin
not his level of play
Pretty much why I never watch any press conferences or interviews. Lou has taught them all well how to not give away anything. Plus, it's hockey. It's part of the culture to speak in cliches.
I think what endears NJ/NYers to a guy like Rex Ryan is that there is emotion and passion in his press conferences despite that a cliche or two gets thrown in there.
People like Pete and Lou are frustrating. When we're winning, who cares about how clammed up they may be, they're winning. When they're losing, then it becomes a question of, "Do they understand the frustration level we fans feel"? Could you please put an inflection and vary the tone of your voice when you talk to the media/fans. So many liars to the press put out monotone prepared statements to shoo them away. It seems that's what Pete and Lou do.
Rex knows this and it's why he has so many defenders, despite the team being 2-11.
so i missed this one
40 shots? lol
I couldn't tell you the last time I've watched a pre or post game, you aren't going to hear anything you haven't heard before other than a joke from Jagr or some other good insight from him
I'll just go pop groundhog day in instead, it'll be the same thing as a pre or post game anyway
If you think professional athletes or management responsible for what is on the playing surface care about what fans think, then I can't help ya there
There is a reason we are watching and they are the ones involved
They care. If they didn't, then you wouldn't hear about incidences of athlete/fan verbal exchanges after games.
Management certainly cares when tickets don't get sold. That is the ultimate indictment of fan thinking.

It's why I don't listen to a Pete DeBoer press conference. You're going to get the same thing every time.

It's crazy, the more forwards you take off this team the more games they win.
I can't wait to get reamed up the ass by Chicago tomorrow.
