I think this right here is the heart of the problem these last few games. Early on their ability to out-skate and wear teams down was really predicated on rolling 4 lines. But the Rango-Boq-Holtz lines isn't good and the coaches clearly don't trust it and Wood and McLeod don't belong anywhere other than the 4th line.

If Ruff doesnt change up the roster tonight after that 4th line benching, then Mango is never playing a game with the big squad again. We could use a guy with strong reason to be highly motivated to help boost the existing guys after the schedule grind..

This team was always going to go through a rough patch. Pretty much everyone here was hoping for a bubble team and maybe hopes of a wildcard heading into the season. These guys are way ahead of schedule. I think they bounce back and get 2 points against Dallas tomorrow.
this team needs a shake-up trade in the worst way.

geertsen for some reasonable fan expectations

who says no?

i assume montreal and vancouver aren't a good fit as trade partners.

Devils are a little stale right now.

They could use some small tweak to some of the structure and a shakeup of lines just to freshen things up.

This place is getting BRUTAL

It stinks in here right now

You got people calling for Blackwood now (even though the first person to do it was clearly kidding)

People are acting like we're gonna lose every game now and the season is about fall apart.

I'm sure Bratt trade proposals are next.
for whatever we can get.

Yeah, it wouldn’t take much. Just tweak the lines a bit to have a stable presence across all four lines. See if that works.

And if doesn’t work with Holtz, send him down and bring up Johnsson. Yeah I said it.

Vanacek coming back down to Earth, Siegenthaler has been really bad lately, the 4th line is a disaster, and special teams are completely killing momentum.

Still a great team but all of these are things that need to get better soon.
Power play is bar none my biggest concern. It looks awful and it shouldn’t.

Bratt has been mediocre for his last 10 games or so. Nico carrying him like Jack did.

We really need a shake up in the lineup

Tatar - Nico - Sharangovich
Zetterlund - Jack - Mercer
Holtz - Haula - Bratt
Wood - McLeod - Bastian/callup

He has 8 points in his last 10 games and saying either guy carries him is absolutely ludicrous.

Sharangovich doesn’t has the defensive chops to play on what is essentially our shutdown line. Bratt has more defensive responsibilities on Nico’s line, it’s a function of the line.

Making the top 6 worse before throwing Johnsson in there is bad idea to me.

I can’t believe you morons willingly subject yourselves to me. My dogs are smarter than all of you. They leave the room when I talk to them. My kids are even smarter. They leave the house entirely when they go to college.
it's kind of a surprise, your sons turned out so smart. i mean the mother can't be too smart, as she is still with you. :sarcasm:

i hope you won't get a second chance this season.

but you can do some for utica games, if you want to improve.
I was just about to post the Dallas one so we have an "early" GDT.... should I pull the trigger? :(

Pedro seems to be one of those with the "He is not scoring goals so he's useless" hot take around here.

I couldn’t care less on OT play. This game was lost on the PP and PK play today. Thought both goalies were fine. They didn’t make or break the game.

Team played a good game and will win more often than not with these performances.

BUT, improve that damn PP. Remove wood from the PP, my god.
In my opinion they lost the game on those two odd man rushes. And it seems like it’s happening more frequently.

Fortunately she is very smart. I think it's more that she still naively believes she can fix me. She's the eternal optimist.

Just as I expected, last night was brutal in here after the loss.

It will be really bad if we lose tonight.

Like I said, it was like walking into a room and having 8 DD’s to the left of me and 10 or 11 RD’s to the right.

I think people can and are happy with the team AND they can worry about some recent goals against and chances against. It means the standard has gone up from "please don't have diarrhea on the ice and lose a five goal lead to the Panthers" to "dominate and try to be effective in the playoffs".
