The black numbers on the arms look terrible. I was also led to believe that we were dropping the terrible third jerseys.

These are okay. I liked the concept art a lot more. But it would have just been easier to make the (now formerly) current jerseys the new orange, or just follow the 80s/90s template that fans are clamoring for.

Also, maybe it's an optical illusion, but is the orange on the third jersey even the "new" orange? Did they forget to update that?

Orange is different and there’s no apron stripe but yeah, it’s the same.

It’s the perfect encapsulation also because they have the perfect blouse sitting right in front of them (90’s) and they can’t get out of their own way.

What crime would it have been to just return to the 90s template in full? Not different enough?

So we get that color and that template with some awful tweaks for the sake of tweaks. Lack of contrast piping sucks, black shoulder numbers on the home kits are awful, socks are boring, nameplates aren't necessary.

They end up looking like cheap shitty knockoffs. Which is exactly what this franchise is at this point.

Two separate points here. Love the 80's/90's jersey's. Should never have been changed.

Nope. I trust like a single person when it comes to blouse design in the year 2023 across all sports.

Pretty much universally anything new is shit. It's low effort shit that it's unimaginable that people get paid to design it. I honestly can't think of the last re-design by a sports team that was actually decent.

Now this design that they came up with is also low effort shit that I can't believe someone got paid to design it but...
