Man, that sucks.

She still isn’t found yet. From what I’ve heard, they’ve brought in sonar equipment to help scan the lake.

Unfortunately, whatever the outcome is, doesn’t appear it will be positive.

At this point I think the only way she could still be alive is if she swam to shore. But I'm not sure if they're even searching the shore anymore.

People on Reddit were saying this would happen. It’s pretty eerie that it actually happened.

Generally, the contracts on those rental pontoons say you aren't allowed to go swimming off of them because it is too difficult to get back on. They also say that children under a certain age need to wear a life vest but adults do not. I wonder if she crashed or had something else happen to cause them to go in the water.

Naya Rivera 'Mustered Enough Energy' to Get Son on Boat but 'Not Enough to Save Herself': Police

Based on the latest, it appears the boat was unanchored and may have drifted, or otherwise created a situation where she needed to boost her child up onto the boat from a difficult position.

She managed to get him into the craft, but slipped under the water from either exhaustion or from one of the strong currents which are common in that lake.

Apparently the area of the lake where she was found has heavy brush and vegetation under the surface. Seems likely that the reason it took so long to find her was that her body was tangled in something and took a few days to drift loose.
