Real non-golf life intruded mightily on this Masters but happy for Hideki. I love his swing. I don't do it anymore but that pause at the top is what I call the "Harmon drill". Tiger hated it. But if you're a position guy there's probably nothing better for getting control of your transition.

I did the slight pause at the top for a season early in my golf career ....the “Bob Murphy”....for whatever reason as I got better it fell away...was good early on when things would get squirrelly at the top.

You don’t see the pros cut it to 2 with 3 to play and then card a triple very often. That’s something I do, not them. I’m happy for Matsuyama. He seems like a good guy.

Tough start to be sure but they have their full lineup back together and they all got vaccinated before yesterday’s blowout so that may have contributed. Anyway, let’s see where things stand this time next week. I think they will be ok.
