All this, result in overconfidence in the Norway game and a loss.

Czech...Fairly skilled but lack of mentality neither likes physicality. Are a bit ON/OFF
like Russians. Also often lack workethic in their own zone, specially forwards. Look for break out passes and odd man rushes. Has always used the same system where they only use the right side for attacking.

ON = gold medal
OFF = no gold medal

?

agree, those OFFs are annoying.

Russians are all dangles and sniping.

Swedes play a smart 2 way game.

Canadiens are less dangles, more power.
Only Russians are better danglers, the rest Canadians have nothing to envy.

Russia...Skillful individuals who dont like physical hockey. Look for passes instead of shots.
You have a very old view of Russian hockey, or should I say... Soviet hockey. The new generation of Russian players have the same set of skills, but opposite attitudes. There's a reason that nowadays Russians have the image of being somewhat selfish. They now don't pass enough and try to do everything by themselves. And they shoot a lot too.

Every hockey nations have changed aspect through the years, but I think the two that have changed the most IMO are Canada and Russia. Canadians still play the Canadian game and Russians still play the Russian game, but both have incorporated aspect of the other. Canadians are a lot more skilled than they were in the '90s and Russians are a lot tougher than 20 years ago.
