Great period by Rinne the rest of the team not so good. We are only down 1-0 though. In a game that has been played entirely 5 on 5 which is our strength we've been outplayed by Carolina.

Aimless passing and a total scramble on defense. Rinne was awesome, but the Fisher line was flaccid, the Ribeiro unit was sloppy, and the Canes forecheck absolutely devoured Jarnkrok in the defensive zone.

If Laviolette hasn't already read them the riot act, now might be the time. That was one of the worst periods they've played this year. At least the waffle cones are good.
