Honestly, think it's kind of unfair to give one out. All four deserve it pretty equally. Ghost might be most likely to win it on the basis of being a Calder candidate level rookie and, more importantly, because we were much more desperate for an impact offensive D than anything else this season. However, it's not really fair to the other three to hold it against them for being on the team from the start. If we didn't have Giroux, we'd be down our leading point getter, 1C, and best face-off player. If we're down Couturier than we're down our best defensive forward, our only other center who's even mildly capable of face-offs, and with no real 2C options. If we're down Mason then we're without a proven starting goalie and, with Neuvirth currently injured, with no goalie let alone one as great as he's been at such a crucial and hectic stretch.
They all deserve it in pretty equal measures I think.
