MTL isn't getting Morrow. He most likely is top pair RHD next to Slavin once Burns is gone. Heimoslami could be had. I like Mysak, but I think Canes would have to add more.

Morrow isn't getting traded for other prospects. Only way he's getting traded is if the Canes go big game hunting at the deadline. And even then, I doubt it as the org is very high on him.

It would probably take an overpayment to get Heimosalmi or Morrow as the Canes are very high on the 2021 draft picks.

These type of deal just don't usually work. Teams are high on guys they draft, unreasonably high if they do well post draft and unlikely to be traded.

So far since taking over from Francis/Karmanos, this management team has traded very few players they drafted. In fact, I think it's only 1. 3rd round pick Aiden Hreshuk in a deadline deal.

Just so Habs fans know, Canes fans are VERY high on Morrow. Probably unreasonably high, but very high none the less. So any trade proposal including Morrow is going to be frowned upon at a minimum, or at worst, scoffed at. The fan bases won't agree on a trade for him.

Who Montrel chose is irrelevant. This is a new management team. I agree that Morrow is too valuable to be traded unless it is in a package deal for a player that makes them Cup favorites.

Rightly so, he's been an almost point per gamer as a rookie in the NCAA, as a (right handed) defenseman.

Definitely would be all about something around Heimosalmi for Mysak, Canes would probably even add a little to get it done IMO.

Id' target someone else or just wait to see what Barron, Mailloux, Kostenko and Tourigny do and draft some more in 2023. We also have other guys who can play RD despite being LHD (like Harris).

Didn't read the thread but I highly doubt that the canes are in any hurry to do the Habs any favors so I would imagine that any deal made would have to be slanted towards the canes

Canes have some quality forward prospects who they can over marinate right now. Don’t see them swapping prospects at all. Could actually see them make a quality move using a couple of them though.
