I am not optimistic that line will remove a noticeable amount of cars off the road IMO, but I do favor any and all smart options like that added. You do want the silver line as a travel option for sure. It just that DC and surrounding areas are poorly designed and lack options unless you happen to commute from metro stop to metro stop. We need far more than one subway line added but we will take one with open arms.
Commuters traveling between Maryland and Virginia have no direct subway option. I don't even think there is a single bus. We need a subway that mirrors the Beltway and goes around the city.
