Chelios was drafted at a time the league didn’t hold US college hockey in as high regard vs juniors - one of the very few good moves under the Grundman era.

Prof Caron didn’t think Mike Bossy had the skill of Mark Napier and didn’t think Mark Messier could be more than a goon. Scotty was dispatched by Pollock to scout some kid named Orr and came back to say he didn’t think Orr would pan out.

Draft is an inexact science at the best of times....

Didn't Orr get signed by the Bruins at like age 12? It was before the draft system so Scotty's opinion didn't really matter.

Roy was good in the junior but not dominant. Francois Allaire polished him.

A guy like Richer was a natural born talent.

Roy Jones jr. was for me by far the most talenter fighter ever ( a pure marvel a movements, power and speed) but a guy like Mawheather for example was a better boxer in that sens that when Jones lost a bit of his speed and his reflexes ..we was done
