Just wondering what the most impressive ppg or total points you have heard of. I was browsing EP and there was a guy called Jim Nichols who had 23-24-47 in just 6 games in 66-67 in the old WHL. Obviously an error by EP but just made me curious.

Not prospects directly but the British Divison 1 1987-1988 scoring race

Kevin Conway and Pat Mangold tie for the Scoring Title with 252 Points, although Conway has a game less. Conway led with 148 Goals. Mangold was 3rd in goals (116) and 2nd in Assists (136). 5 players hit 200 Points.

Also, fun fact, Conway is Brendan Perlini's uncle. Conway's cousin, Brett Perlini, had 226 PTS in 32 Games in the 2nd division in 92-93.

2 things instantly came to mind for me.

#1 was career minor leaguer Bill McDougall who already had 2 mind-blowing seasons on his reume in the 92-93 playoffs but first the preamble for Bill.

Bill was a hotshot great hands and shot skilled guy from Ontario that tore up the SJHL with Humbolt at age 20 with a 61-83-104-184 line that year which isn't an all time best for a junior player but still pretty darn good.

Several years later after playing senior hockey and not being on the map he scorches the ECHL with a 57-80-68-148 line and for good measure has a 11-10-7-17 line in the AHL as well then is stuck in the AHL scoring quite well, much like Rob Brown in the IHL then in the 92-93 playoffs Bill just goes off on a magical run with a line of 16-26-26-52 which is truly insane.

As a kid I also saw Len Hachborns AHL line in 83-84 at 28-18-42-60 and thought that the Flyers had a decent player on their hands since he also scored in the NHL that year with a 38-11-21-32 line but then he just fizzled out.

Cam Plante, Brandon Wheat Kings Dman tallied 140 pts in 72 games in the 1983/1984 WHL season. He rode the coattails of Ray Ferraro who had 192 pts that year for Brandon.

James Scantlebury (Quebec U15 AAA) scoring 43 goals on a team where no other played had more than 4 goals and 10 pts has to be up there.

Guy was as much of a 1-man show as is really possible. Could be a top 3 pick in the Q on a couple years, hes still eligible to play u15 again next season but I wouldn't be shocked if he played u18 underaged

I mean, if we're really counting "any level" of hockey, then it's going to be hard to top Gretzky's 10-year old Pee Wee stats: 378 goals and 517 points in 85 games. That's 6.08 pts/game.
Tony hand has some ridiculous seasons too - 216 pts in 35 games in a professional League, mind you a very low tier professional League.

He's considered the UK's Wayne Gretzky and even had a chance to play with him but went back home after getting home sick and the oilers sent him to the WHL to develop for a season....he had 8 pts in 3 WHL games.

I think Messier was quoted saying aside from Gretzky he had the highest IQ of anyone at oilers training camp that year. Definitely a big what -if for the oilers and the NHL in general

I like seeing those players that put up a ton of points and pims in the same season.... Like for instance Shanahan in 93/94 when he got 52g. 50a 102 pts. and 211pims

there were alot of those types of stats back then

There are some good eye-popping Penalty Minutes stats too. The Canucks drafted Marc-Andre Roy in the 7th round in 2002 when he got 0g/1a assist and 432 PIM. Then he improved and got 653 PIM the next season in Baie Comeau.
