How is the guy who has more assists than anyone has points not #1?

Because efficiency doesn't automatically equate to exciting. And what's exciting is complete exciting.

The two most exciting players to me were Datsyuk and Forsberg, but what I find exciting are guys who are extremely skilled and strong on the puck and slow the game down to the pace they want to play. Meanwhile, I completely understand how many others would find guys like Bure, McDavid, and Ovechkin more exciting as they prefer guys who play in fast forward.

A lot of people would also probably find Coffey and Stevens more exciting than Lidstrom, despite Lidstrom being a better player.

Likewise, there's some football fans who would find Michael Vick more exciting than Tom Brady.
