This is very accurate and can be said for most of our players.

There is a lot of truth to what Eakins said about where we are as a team, the brain trust has failed miserably at getting veteran support players. The number one thing a team like this needs is a good goalie, and we don't have one.

Last nights game was lost inside of a few minutes of starting.

Yeah from a habs fan outside looking in, it seems like the Oilers had this philosophy: Our core is made up of sweet young players, lets let them play a ton today so in a few years when they are ready to produce, they'll have amazing chemistry.

All while forgetting how much of a step up the game is when entering the NHL. Without the support of veterans, the NHL heat has killed any confidence or creativity the young guys had.

They were marched around the city and on TV as the next Kurri/Gretzky/Messier (the old boys just cant shake this). There is no way RNH should have been playing his first year, now at 21 fans are ripping him. The kid is going to be excellent, it should actually be his second year in the league.

If you look at what Montreal did with Galchenyuk and Subban, you see how its done correctly.

We all hated Horcoff, mainly because of his contract and the desire to win something, in actuality he was very important to the team and the young guys, we have a huge void there now. I could go on and on with certain players, but its mind numbing going over the simple mistakes the Oilers made and continue to make.

As Tom Renney said in an interview, he was fired for having a conscience, he didn't want to play the young guys while being injured or above where they should be.

Till Lowe/Howson/MacT are gone, the direction will remain the same, there is zero responsibility and vision in this organization.

You can cut confidence of every player by 50% when you don't have a goalie, we play scared 100% of the time. Fans wonder why we appear to give up in games, its pretty simple really. Then to top it off the finger pointing by so called leaders is a joke, the same finger pointers go out and make the same mistakes. We need a real captain ASAP.

Its obvious no one is steering this ship, we just endlessly bounce around on the waves.
