Maybe but Markov's career is nearing the end. Isn't Yandle pretty much in his prime?

Also, by moving Plekanec, you open up a space for Galchenyuk at center.

You don't trade for players in their prime unless it's a bargain like Vanek.

The fick are you talking about? We gain 0.75 mil of salary to 6 mil of Markov. Plus we get younger and better.

He is a player I have wanted on the Habs for a while.

we're not trading plekanec...bergevin brought up his leadership qualities unpromptedly and he was the first of a few that he mentioned....when talking about leaders in the room after the gionta question.....he's staying. all these threads of trades happening with him are irrelevant and not going to happen....sorry.....i'd just like to turn the page to realism. he's our best center...we're not ready to dish him out.
