its actually realy good value in a vacuum, i can understand why ducks doesn't do it tho, still think you removes comtois and add a lesser prospect or mid pick, its the right value! just doesnt make sense for them!

Ducks are not going to help build up Canadiens prospect pool by making a trade like that.

We had an opportunity to make a trade between our teams when Galchenyuk was (reportedly) at least little bit available. We traded for Henrique. You will not see Ducks making any big trades this season.

Hard no. One is signed long term and has been our #1 D for years and is only 26; the other is a UFA next season and will be 30, will want more money than Cam, and has less playoff points than Cam.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this deal, or a variation of it, and it’s more than a little frustrating to see yet another proposal that expects Anaheim to move good prospects that we expect to be part of Anaheim’s future for a player that we can’t reasonably expect to have a place in Anaheim’s future.

Can we do that? Go back in time and snag some great trades that we can bank on in hindsight.

If I had a time machine, that wouldn’t be very high on my list of things to do, but maybe on a day off. That would be cool.
