He coached the impact 7 years ago... You think he'd be the same coach he is today if he stayed in Montreal?

I rate him as the best coach we've had since joining MLS even though I disagreed with Bernier's usage.

Him moving out of Montreal was the right call. He wanted to build a club around NA and SA talent, but Saputo wanted to build a serie B club thinking he'd torch the MLS with it.

Why was he let go again?

I believe he had many disagreements with NDS/Saputo about the way they wanted to build the team. Marsch thought he would have carte blanche but he didn't. Some players were brought in and he would not use them (Bernier for instance). It's the same story from Marsch to Garde really. Except maybe for Klopas who was simply an awful coach.

The fate of this team depends so much on the next DS... they just can't f*** that one up.
