It's not that silly.

Anyone can be superstitious, including the players. No Habs players will say "another shutout Pricer" with 5 minutes left in the game. Of course scientifically, it won't changed anything but it remains something you don't say.

Not saying Bask is trolling but he is an attention seeker for saying stuff like that knowing it will draw a lot of reactions.

I understand and respect people are superstitious. To each their own. What I have a problem with, is when people make it out to seem as though superstition is fact. Perhaps I shouldn't have been as rude as I was about it, but I don't blame Bask. It's a word on a forum that means absolutely nothing, and people still decide to irrationally get upset about it. Maybe he/she does find some sort of amusement in getting people riled up. I don't know. What I do know, is that such overreactions only encourage more ridiculous behaviour.

I kinda like it

I see the Emelin-Gilbert pair being an unsustainable disaster.

We'll either have to go back to Emelin-Gonchar and Bealieu-Gilbert or Weaver will have to come in for Gilbert--or we'll need to trade for another dman.

Malhotra is the weak link to our team. I love him as much as you do, but the guy should be hired as a faceoff specialist. I'm greateful he's done such a good job as. I just wish we had harder, faster, stronger, better 4th line players.

To be honest, I've seen posters deliberately try to annoy people based on DD, Price, Eller, Subban, etc....

It is what it is, you argue this then it sets a precedent for everything else.

But posting to annoy other people is forbidden. Its the sort of rule we have to promote a good forum environment. I cannot go on another board to tease them; posting solely to annoy other is against the rules. Its harshly enforced in inter-fanbase relationships.

Why do we tolerate it when our own posters do it?

I am not asking for banning the word "shutout", i am asking for making sure someone posting it solely to annoy other posters are made to understand its not appropriate behavior.

Just to give an example that concerned me: i know PB really annoyed me a few weeks back because of an opinion she posted. I voices a (probably too harsh) reaction.

If PB started to post the same.opinion at every game just because my (and other's) reaction amuses her, she would be trolling. She would have passed beyond simply voicing a perfectly legitimate opinion into posting solely to annoy others.

Doing that is immature and unpleasant, in my opinion. I am voicing my.opinion because its not the first time i see Bask doing the very same action, in the very same way, which provokes the very same reaction.

^ You are talking about posts that annoy you though, not posts that annoy the board in general. If it were the latter, there would be a case for trolling.

But HF has a way for you to avoid posts from posters who annoy you specifically - put them on your ignore list.

Also - GDT is up.
