clearly you have knowledge if you are referencing other like players but if i remember correctly Monahan was widely regarded as one of if not the best faceoff center in the draft, Craig Button actually said he was the best face-off player he has ever seen at this stage in his career.

Button makes many big claims. By Monahan's own admission that is an area he's got to work on. Yes that's already a strength to his game, but it was one of our weaknesses on the Flames last year and if he really wants a spot on the team, further improvement on the dot will only help his chances.
