The Revs won on the road Saturday at Atlanta, who fired head coach Gabriel Heinze the next day. After reading this, you have to wonder why he was hired in the first place.

Bou kicked that ball like it owed him money.

Absolute laser beam shot. Incredible finishing ability by Bou. He's becoming a favorite player of mine on this Revs team. Guy knows how to put the ball in the net and with skill to boot.

US advanced to the finals with a 1-0 win over Qatar. (Don't ask.)

Meanwhile, Mexico and Canada tied 1-1 in the 2nd half. The Revs' Tajon Buchanan scored the equalizer for the Canadiens, who also saved a penalty kick.

The Revs won their 4th in a row with a 3-2 victory over the Red Bulls in New Jersey. The Revs fell behind twice in the match, but Adam Buksa found a stoppage time winner.

Also, Gustavo Bou is still good.

Buksa's game-winner.

US/Mexico underway in the finals of the Gold Cup.

Mexico enormous favorites over a short-handed US team playing without many of their best players.

Revolution's Matt Turner between the sticks for the US.

USA 0-0 Mexico - Halftime

As expected, Mexico controlling the match, but other than one terrific header that Matt Turner managed to turn around the post, El Tri hasn't had much in terms of quality scoring chances.

In fact, the US might have had the best chance to open the scoring after forcing a turnover in the Mexican defense, but Paul Arriola's shot struck the outside of the right post.

90 minutes not enough to decide the Gold Cup, as Mexico and the US head to extra time scoreless.

Second half was a lot more even, as both sides had multiple "how did we not score there?" moments.

Arlington High's Miles Robinson has been terrific in the center of the US defense.
