Will still make an interesting race down the stretch.

Bryant is a 7.0 fWAR and Seager is at 6.7 fWAR, which is within the margin of error. Then you add in that Seager is leading the Kershawless Dodgers to a division crown and Bryant's inability to get clutch hits and you have all the narrative fodder you want.

You might be the only one.

Agreed. No hitters and breaking them up are over rated. Tom Seaver never had one.

Donaldson won because Trout didn't make the postseason. He wasn't the best player or offensively by any means.

I'm not saying Bryant shouldn't win it. I'm saying voters could split on him because Rizzo is another candidate.

Fangraphs has 4 Cubs starters ahead of Stroman in WAR. What could cause such a difference between fangraphs and BP? (I am assuming WARP is from BP based on a research I just did).

There's no value if your playing on a bottom feeder.

What value is there if your all world but being that good you can't provide enough to get out the basement? Voters don't look at sabermetrics they look at winners.

Trout fans need to start a grass roots campaign for a sabermetric award so Trout gets his just due considering he will have a hard time winning an MVP during his prime years.
