I was expecting this to be close between Kunin, JEE and Kaprizov.

That said, I'd say JEE as well.

I guess I was the one sucker who voted Kaprizov. I think his ceiling is much higher than Ek's, and that's more what I look for in the best prospects. I also think he'll end up being a 40 point player at least.

Voted Kaprizov. Think Kaprizov and JEE are interchangeable as #1a/#1b prospects, I just see Kaprizov as the one with higher upside. Kaprizov could be our top 10 NHL star while JEE has the makings to be a solid top 30 NHL 1st line C.

JEE has the highest floor and not a bad ceiling either.

Kunin and Kaprizov both have a bit higher ceilings, but FAR lower floors.

Thus JEE was any easy one for me.

When I voted it was about 12-0 for Ek.

One thing to consider - Ek is here and now in a position of need and he didn't **** the bed in his debut.

I guess Granlund's history with us has me a bit skeptical about Kaprizov. Not to say that he won't contribute at some point with the Wild... but these posts believing he'll be a future superstar (even if just potential) are on the extreme side IMO.

I think he'll see NHL ice... will his game translate is the question. It seems likely yes because of his high ceiling, but he wouldn't be the first to struggle or even fail in that transition.

Kaprizov won't be able to play the game he played at the WJC in the NHL. Plenty of time and room there, not so much in the NHL.
