Kuemps is starting? Hmm.
I'm excited. We broke the 2-game win streak 3-game losing streak curse, let's see what happens here.

Minnesota Wild preach patience for young talent, but Oilers can't afford to wait
EDMONTON, Alberta -- All the talented kids scheduled to take the ice when the Wild play the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday night, Feb. 21, at Rexall Place should be worth watching.

They might or might not have an impact on the game.

By virtue of owning the No. 1 overall draft pick for three seasons running, the Oilers' lineup will include top picks Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, 19, and Taylor Hall, 21, along with such standouts as Jordan Eberle, 22; Nail Yakupov, 19; Magnus Paajarvi; 21, Sam Gagne, 22; and Justin Schultz, 22.

Minnesota, which ranks second to Ottawa in the NHL with six rookies used so far this season, is expected to counter with Jonas Brodin, 19; Mikael Granlund, 20; Jason Zucker, 21; Johan Larsson, 20; and possibly Darcy Kuemper, 22.

"It's nice to have so many young guys," Granlund said after practice Wednesday, "but you really don't think about that when you're playing."

A place.
Kuemper starting eh?

I smell a goalie controversy brewing, and I must say I kinda like it.

I wonder if any of the tension in the early season games between the Aeros and OKC will bleed through to this? Wild vs Edmonton is already always interesting, that would make it even spicier.

Wild win 4-1 as long as we only allow 2 PP's. If more, then we lose 2-3.

I don't care how pretty it is, let's just win! This is a division game and will be a huge measuring stick since there's a strong chance we might be fighting it out with this team for that last playoff spot for all we know. We might look back on this game when it's all said and done.

WIN!

PS: I also smell a goalie controversy.

I don't want anyone to get hurt but someone's gotta destroy Hall, cleanly.

Also I'd like to see Zucker where he left off.

8-1 victory, Granny with a Gordie Howe hattrick.

To be serious, 3-1 win, Parise with two goals.

FTFY.

Preferably a Scott Stevens-esque blindside hit. Shanahan never calls those.

If by now you didn't catch on that Shanascam hates the Wild then you should, if one of our guys does anything that he normally calls a "hockey play" we'll get slammed with something like intentional incident and get punished.....

Tonight we dine in EDMONTON!

This is a game we will win, and the next two against the Flames too. Then we will be situated well in the west. It's Win-streak time, and it goes on and on and on. Zucker scores again, Brodin also with a goal. Rupp with gamewinner, pass from Granny.

I also think Backstrom starts, doesn't he only have three regulation losses against the Oilers in his career, or some other ridiculous number?

Now, if Kuemper starts, I certainly won't complain as he's earned it.
