*WARNING ALL FINNS: The GDT may be Swedish themed*

It is the first away game of the season for the Wild. 31,345 - (~)550 = (~)30,795 miles will be left to travel.

Last game played between the Wild and Red Wings ended 6-0 in favor for the Red Wings.

The Red Wings have been troubled with injuries. There's a few who could possibly lay their skates on the
ice tonight (*) but the list is rather long; Jakub Kindl*, Darren Helm*, Todd Bertuzzi*, Ian White, Carlo Colaiacovo and Jonathan Ericsson.

Marco Scandella and Jared Spurgeon are out for the Wild because of injuries.

Tonight's the night many of us Wild fans have been waiting for. We've already got to see Parise, Suter and Granlund in action but one anticipated fellow has yet to represent the Wild. That fellow is no other than Swedish defenseman Jonas Brodin (age 19). This mobile and good puck moving defenseman has established himself as one of the top prospects in the world. He (most likely) will get debut tonight in the arena of one his biggest idols Nicklas Lidström. Kim Johnsson was the last Swede to play for the Wild (2010)

Tonight's official song selection:

Jonas Brodin - Clayton Stoner

Harding

Detroit Red Wings

Johan Franzen - Henrik Zetterberg- Damien Brunner
Daniel Cleary - Darren Helm - Patrick Eaves
Drew Miller - Justin Abdelkader - Jordin Tootoo

BTW, why is Colorado leading the division? With identical P's, GP's and ROW's, the next tie-breaker should be "The greater number of points earned in games between the tied clubs.", in which case the Wild should be ahead. Not that it matters at this point of the season, but still seems weird.

Yaaay it's gameday! Set phone alarm to 2:30. Then it's time for some Wild hockey.

Expecting a 4-1 win, 2nd line stepping it up.

Eh, who cares? If we win tonight, we take the lead. That's what matters.

****ing Columbus can't do anything right. Lose 0-3 last night against the Avs. Ridiculous.

NHL.com:

If two clubs are tied, and have not played an equal number of home games against each other, points earned in the first game played in the city that had the extra game shall not be included.

A Swedish themed GDT, you say?

Good work with the GDT. :)

Didn't realize all the injuries Detty is going through right now, although it looks like Helm, Bertuzzi and Kindl will be playing tonight.

Their D hopefully is full of holes though.

I'm just hoping we won't see Tootoo/Kronwall crush the living **** out of Granlund/Brodin.

And a win, of course.

Should've put this in the OP:

Other than that, love the paint logos. And now that it's not my GDT, we might actually win this.

What's the situation with Jared Spurgeon?

sore foot. if they're keeping Dumba even with Brodin back in action it must not be ready to go. Again, let me take this moment to remind everyone I predicted this.:)
