It sucks for them their defense keeps losing guys. And I'm sure they'll use that as an excuse, but there have been a couple post seasons where the Wild had injuries to significant parts of their team and at no point did anyone from the other fanbases feel sorry for them. Would I prefer to see the Wild be where they're at with the Blues at full strength, absolutely. But Krug essentially knocked himself out of the game. Bortuzzo was just a fluke thing and super unfortunate and Leddy just got hit clean. Just the way shit goes.
Guessing the next game, the Blues will come out of the gate just screaming to try and change the trajectory. Hopefully the Wild can either weather the storm or just pot a couple early and destroy St. Louis' will.
