Well, as far as gong shows go, this would probably still rank a few notches below the Pierre-McGuire-to-Penguins scenario. But still. Ew. No. (And no to Torts as well.) Coaching acumen aside, what makes people think the ego and the media distraction that creates would be worth it?

:laugh: I saw the interview at the initial airing. I couldn't believe that they'd float that question out there, felt that they asked if for ***** and giggles. I loved him as a coach 20ish years ago but NO way I'd put him in, even as an assistant coach. He'd irritate and polarize the bench/team and cause player rebellion.
